Xeres Botero vs Ignado Montesino

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Meadowbrook Recreation Center, Arlington,  taking place on 05/12/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Xeres Botero (14(5) - 1 - 1) who hails from Tegucigalpa, Honduras and Ignado Montesino(13 - 6(1) - 1) from Havana, Cuba.  Botero weighed in at 147 pounds, while Montesino weighed in at 146 pounds and 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Robert Corfield, and the three ringside judges are Sean Richards, Euan Bellis and Theo Whitehead.  

Round 1: 

Botero steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Botero is looking to close the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Montesino in the corner.  Botero lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Montesino throws a right hook, but Botero ties up his opponent.  Botero uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Montesino behind the head. Montesino is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Montesino pushes his forearm into Botero's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Montesino.  
Botero drives a firm right hook into his opponents ribcage.  Botero clinches his opponent.  Botero leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Montesino attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Botero time to recover.  
Botero quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a solid left hook to Montesino's liver.  
Botero advances into close range.  Montesino tries to land a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Botero drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Botero connects with a solid left uppercut.  Botero ties up his opponent.  Botero pushes his forearm into Montesino's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Botero manages to force Montesino into the corner.  Botero digs in a solid right hook to Montesino's ribcage.  
Botero lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Botero lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Botero lands a solid left hook.  
Botero gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.
