Azam Kouri vs Zafa Sahrawi

Boxing Daily Report from the Chitambo Promotions promoted show at Dubai Albishi, Dubai,  taking place on 03/11/2025:

Clearly Chitambo Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the UAE-Dubai Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Azam Kouri (4 - 6 - 1) who hails from Dubai, UAE and Zafa Sahrawi(2 - 6 - 1) from Dubai, UAE.  Both Kouri and Sahrawi weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Waleed Bacchus, and the three ringside judges are Obaid Elshennawi, Obaid Elshennawi and Obaid Awan.  

Round 1: 

Sahrawi gets on the inside and lands a right hook.  Sahrawi tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Sahrawi lands a left uppercut.  
Sahrawi throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Kouri has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

Sahrawi goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Kouri to the neutral corner.  He warns Sahrawi to stop fouling or he'll lose a point.
