Nicholas Field vs James Givan

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Iowa promoted show at Des Moines Civic Center Stoner Theater, Des Moines,  taking place on 02/12/2025:

Clearly AI USA-Iowa have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Mid West Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nicholas Field (13 - 0) who hails from Overland Park, USA and James Givan(5 - 8(2) - 3) from Davenport, USA.  Both Field and Givan weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Colin Dickins, and the three ringside judges are Vincent Bathgate, Rob Winning and Vince Caven.  

Round 1: 

Field quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Field closes the distance.  Field pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Field lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Field forces Givan to retreat into the corner.  Field lands a left hook.  
Field connects with a right hook.  
Field drives a right hook into Givan's ribs.  
Givan is looking to keep his distance and throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Field advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Givan tries to land a right hook, but Field sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Field gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Field hits home with a solid jab.  
Field gets on the inside and lands a left hook.  
Givan hits home with a cross.  
Givan connects with a cross.  
Field gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Field advances into close range and is on target with a left hook.  
Field digs in a right hook to Givan's body.  
Field closes the distance and lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Field advances into close range and drives a right hook into Givan's ribcage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Givan's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Givan's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Givan throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Field lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Field lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Field steps inside and connects with a left hook.  
Field lands with a solid jab.  
Field lands a stiff jab.  
Field lands a left uppercut.  
Field pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Field quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.

Field tries to land a left hook, but Givan slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref steps in and separates the two fighters to check for damage.  Its not looking good!  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.  As less than 4 rounds have been completed its going to be a no-contest!
