Joe Sligh vs Leighton Jones

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Utah promoted show at Sam Ferguson Gym, Provo,  taking place on 02/12/2025:

Clearly AI USA-Utah have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Mountain West Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joe Sligh (9 - 8 - 3) who hails from Greeley, USA and Leighton Jones(10 - 3(1)) from Provo, USA.  Both Sligh and Jones weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michael Faul, and the three ringside judges are Edward Cary, John Egerton and Charlie McNeely.  

Round 1: 

Jones lands a cross.  
Jones steps to the outside.  Sligh lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Jones closes the distance.  Sligh pivots to the right of his opponent.  Jones digs in a right hook to his opponents body.

Jones lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.
