Mark Duncan vs Bruce Brymer

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Civic Auditorium, San Jose,  taking place on 15/12/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Duncan (7(1) - 0) who hails from Spokane, USA and Bruce Brymer(7 - 10 - 1) from Phoenix, USA.  Both Duncan and Brymer weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ben Banos, and the three ringside judges are Fraser Lesley, Mike Sander and Sean Bowens.

Brymer gets on the inside.  Duncan digs in a right hook to Brymer's ribcage.

Duncan is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Duncan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a ramrod jab.  
Duncan is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross, overhand right and an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Duncan feints a cross, and then drives a left hook into Brymer's body.  Duncan attempts to land a left hook, but Brymer sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Brymer closes the distance.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Brymer dabs at his face checking for damage.  Brymer has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Brymer steps inside.  Duncan throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Duncan holds on to his opponent.  Duncan tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Brymer behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Duncan is looking to keep the action on the outside and drives a stiff jab into his opponents face.  
Brymer closes the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Duncan on the ropes.  Duncan connects with a right uppercut.  
Brymer attempts to land a right hook, but Duncan slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Brymer is starting to lose his head here!   He steps inside, but then strikes Duncan with a blatant low blow!  The ref halts the action and sends Duncan to the neutral corner.    He has a stern word with Brymer and warns that a point will be deducted if he continues to foul.

You can sense the frustration from Brymer now.   He steps inside, but then strikes Duncan with a blatant low blow!  The ref takes no action over the foul, despite complaints from Duncan.

Duncan tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with an overhand right.  
Duncan hits the target with a solid jab.

Brymer closes the distance and throws a left hook, but Duncan ties up his opponent.  Duncan pushes his forearm into Brymer's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Duncan.
