Ewan Aulds vs Nuru Dotse

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at County Coliseum, El Paso,  taking place on 19/12/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ewan Aulds (16 - 0) who hails from Louisville, USA and Nuru Dotse(12 - 9 - 2) from Soweto, South Africa.  Both Aulds and Dotse weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Mings, and the three ringside judges are Theo Whitehead, Bruce Deliz and Paul Speed.  

Round 1: 

Aulds advances into close range.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Dotse has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Aulds advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Aulds gets on the inside and drives a left uppercut into Dotse's body.

Aulds throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Dotse hits home with a right uppercut.  Dotse attempts to land a jab, but Aulds slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Dotse's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Dotse's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Dotse's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.
