Ian Roberts vs James Meckes

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Texas promoted show at Beamers Nightclub, Dallas,  taking place on 23/11/2025:

Clearly AI USA-Texas have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Ian Roberts (7 - 0) who hails from Birmingham, USA and James Meckes(3 - 16(1) - 3) from Cincinnati, USA.  Both Roberts and Meckes weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Stuart Ferrera, and the three ringside judges are Faisal Rasul, Arthur Kinna and Sid Hackney.  

Round 1: 

Meckes is on target with a right hook.

Roberts pivots to the left of his opponent.  Roberts lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Roberts clinches his opponent.  Roberts is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Roberts about fouling.
