Taro Kobe vs Ngo Trung

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tokyo,  taking place on 03/01/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Taro Kobe (13 - 1(1) - 1) who hails from Hiroshima, Japan and Ngo Trung(15 - 0) from Hanoi, Vietnam.  Kobe weighed in at 112 pounds, while Trung weighed in at 111 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Takeo Kibe, and the three ringside judges are Isamu Nonaka, Kyo Arima and Ichiro Tsukamoto.
