Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Sunshine Coast Stadium, Sunshine Coast,  taking place on 17/01/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Australia Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John McBryde (16(2) - 1(1)) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Richie Sillars(15(5) - 3(2)) from Adelaide, Australia.  McBryde weighed in at 112 pounds, while Sillars weighed in at 111 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Robert Reekie, and the three ringside judges are Tobias Bruce, Billy Pryce and Seth Urbano.
