Vicente Brazil vs Santiago Apollo

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Macumba Habana, Havana,  taking place on 01/01/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Cuba-Havana Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Vicente Brazil (15(6) - 0) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Santiago Apollo(7 - 6 - 2) from Havana, Cuba.  Brazil weighed in at 231 pounds And 7 ounces, while Apollo weighed in at 237 pounds And 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Urvano Domingo, and the three ringside judges are Urvano Domingo, Jax Telleria and Pedro Pico.  

Round 1: 

Brazil steps inside.  Apollo sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Brazil throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Brazil clinches his opponent.  Apollo pushes his forearm into Brazil's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Brazil drives a sharp left uppercut into Apollo's body.  As Brazil tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Apollo dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Brazil hits home with a cross.  
Brazil gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Brazil clinches his opponent.  Brazil is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Brazil is on target with a hard jab.

Brazil steps inside.  Brazil sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Apollo throws a right hook, but Brazil ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Brazil pushes his forearm into Apollo's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
