Wayne Mkondo vs Joshua Matombo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Zimbabwe-Harare promoted show at Harare Basketball Club, Harare,  taking place on 15/12/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Southern African Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Wayne Mkondo (14 - 2) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Joshua Matombo(18 - 2(2)) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Both Mkondo and Matombo weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Roger Breytenbach, and the three ringside judges are Colin Kabweza, Bryn Chinmano and Peabo Chikwava.
