Umair Abboud vs Penda Nguni

Boxing Daily Report from the Hacopyan Promotions promoted show at Kampala Kalizibwe, Kampala,  taking place on 16/12/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Eastern African Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on UTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Umair Abboud (13 - 4(2) - 2) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Penda Nguni(16 - 0) from Lusaka, Zambia.  Abboud weighed in at 246 pounds and 11 ounces, while Nguni weighed in at 226 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rob Kaana, and the three ringside judges are LeBron Omondi, Salim Kalemazikusoka and Dave Ojara.
