Forrest Belair vs Romain Diaby

Boxing Daily Report from the AI France-Languedoc-Roussillon promoted show at Montpellier Olin, Montpellier,  taking place on 16/12/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the France-Languedoc-Roussillon Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Forrest Belair (10 - 8 - 4) who hails from Perpignan, France and Romain Diaby(5 - 9 - 4) from Montpellier, France.  Both Belair and Diaby weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Garner Baze, and the three ringside judges are Verdun Joubert, Orleans Jean-Baptiste and Demont de Sade.  

Round 1: 

Diaby steps inside.  Belair throws a left hook, but Diaby holds on to his opponent.  Diaby leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Diaby pushes his forearm into Belair's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Belair quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Diaby gets on the inside.  Belair pivots to the side of his opponent.  Diaby attempts to land a right hook, but Belair blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.

Diaby gets on the inside.  Diaby quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a left hook.

Belair closes the distance.  Diaby attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Belair time to recover.  
Belair lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Diaby gets on the inside.  Belair throws a left hook, but Diaby clinches his opponent.  Diaby pushes his forearm into Belair's face.  The ref breaks Diaby's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Belair pivots to the left of his opponent.  Belair connects with a left hook.  Diaby ties up his opponent.  Belair is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Diaby pivots to the left of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.
