Lee Boros vs Charlie Fithen

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Illinois promoted show at Dan Hilson Gym, Rockford,  taking place on 04/12/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Illinois Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lee Boros (9 - 8 - 1) who hails from Chicago, USA and Charlie Fithen(7 - 7 - 1) from Chicago, USA.  Boros weighed in at 226 pounds and 7 ounces, while Fithen weighed in at 245 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is John Oman, and the three ringside judges are Nathan Espy, Zachary Hetrick and Alen Valentine.

Boros is looking to close the distance.  Fithen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Boros tries to land a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Boros voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Fithen accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Boros.
