Nori Doi vs Jiro Kondo

Boxing Daily Report from the Kashoki Promotions promoted show at Keiichi Nagai Gym, Sendai,  taking place on 22/11/2025:

Clearly Kashoki Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Miyagi Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nori Doi (5 - 7 - 2) who hails from Sendai, Japan and Jiro Kondo(7 - 9 - 1) from Sendai, Japan.  Both Doi and Kondo weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mitsuru Miyake, and the three ringside judges are Satoru Oyama, Keiichi Sakai and Mitsuru Asano.  

Round 1: 

Kondo walks Doi onto the ropes.  Doi lands a cross.  
Doi gets on the inside.  Kondo steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Doi tries to tag Kondo on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Doi sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kondo is on target with a left hook to Doi's liver.  
Doi tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Doi's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Kondo's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
