Rob Ankrah vs Alen Hughes

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-California promoted show at Los Angeles Arias, Los Angeles,  taking place on 21/12/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rob Ankrah (5(3) - 0) who hails from Achiaman, Ghana and Alen Hughes(3 - 2) from Boise, USA.  Both Ankrah and Hughes weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joey Brice, and the three ringside judges are Lewis Suttie, Rob Prichard and Euan Lyon.  

Round 1: 

Ankrah is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Hughes attempts to land a jab, but Ankrah dodges the shot and counters with a cross.

Ankrah senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Ankrah lands a right uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head, AND SENDS HUGHES SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Ankrah!
