Rico Abate vs Alberto Ogbonna

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Italy-Sardinia promoted show at Cagliari Lizzero, Cagliari,  taking place on 20/12/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Italy-Sardinia Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rico Abate (3 - 12 - 2) who hails from Sassari, Italy and Alberto Ogbonna(2 - 4 - 3) from Cagliari, Italy.  Both Abate and Ogbonna weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alessandro Lupi, and the three ringside judges are Marco Pasetto, Luca Sogno and Leonardo Bortone.
