Orma Gacharia vs Kieran Kibiwot

Boxing Daily Report from the Konga Promotions promoted show at PalPal Gymnasium, Nairobi,  taking place on 23/11/2025:

Clearly Konga Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Nairobi Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Orma Gacharia (5 - 12 - 1) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Kieran Kibiwot(17(1) - 0) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Both Gacharia and Kibiwot weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is LeBron Naikuni, and the three ringside judges are Armani Kipchoim, Faisal Shaheen and Rehan Abed.  

Round 1: 

Kibiwot lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Gacharia closes the distance.  Kibiwot digs in a right hook to Gacharia's ribcage.

Kibiwot hits home with a left uppercut.  Gacharia wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Kibiwot has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Kibiwot is on target with a left uppercut.  
Kibiwot lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Kibiwot advances into close range.  Kibiwot pivots to the left of his opponent.  Kibiwot hits home with a right hook.  Kibiwot holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Kibiwot pushes his forearm into Gacharia's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Kibiwot.
