Pancho Betances vs Angel Villarruel

Boxing Daily Report from the Rourke & Salvador promoted show at Patin�dromo Municipal, Mar del Plata,  taking place on 17/01/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South American Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on America Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Pancho Betances (21 - 0) who hails from Córdoba, Argentina and Angel Villarruel(12 - 6(1) - 2) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Both Betances and Villarruel weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rodrigo Mato, and the three ringside judges are Jose Villagran, Vicente Manas and Olindo Contreras.
