Shontae Asiago vs Koldan Cherkasov

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Mbaraki Sports Club, Mombasa,  taking place on 10/01/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the IRBF Intercontinental Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WWX Sport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Shontae Asiago (19(8) - 1(1)) who hails from Nakuru, Kenya and Koldan Cherkasov(14(5) - 5(2)) from Novosibirsk, Russia.  Both Asiago and Cherkasov weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Baldacchino, and the three ringside judges are Paul Kithuka, Robert Perlo and Connor Kamau.
