Haaris Masood vs Zain Rassi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Iran-Tehran promoted show at Yasin Sheikh Gym, Tehran,  taking place on 22/12/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Iran-Tehran Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on IRIB, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Haaris Masood (9 - 2 - 1) who hails from Tehran, Iran and Zain Rassi(11 - 4) from Tehran, Iran.  Masood weighed in at 252 pounds And 14 ounces, while Rassi weighed in at 254 pounds And 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Saad Salameh, and the three ringside judges are Haaris Ayoub, Irfan Hussain and Ibrahim Jalil.  

Round 1:

Masood wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Rassi has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
