Jack Stackpoole vs Robert Syme

Boxing Daily Report from the TFI promoted show at Shreyas Gym, Boston,  taking place on 03/12/2025:

Clearly TFI have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jack Stackpoole (6 - 0) who hails from Wichita, USA and Robert Syme(3 - 3) from Westminster, USA.  Stackpoole weighed in at 140 pounds, while Syme weighed in at 139 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Bart McWethy, and the three ringside judges are Kyle Ormiston, Dave Greenan and Nathan Burt.  

Round 1: 

Syme switches the action to the outside.  Stackpoole lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Syme attempts to land a left hook, but Stackpoole sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Stackpoole lands with a stiff jab.  
Syme tries to keep the action at long range.  Stackpoole snaps his opponents head back with a stiff jab.  
Stackpoole gets on the inside.  Syme throws a right hook, but Stackpoole clinches his opponent.  Stackpoole pushes his forearm into Syme's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Stackpoole to stop fouling.  
Stackpoole lands a right hook.  
Stackpoole lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Syme sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Stackpoole snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  
Stackpoole forces Syme to back into a corner.  Syme wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Stackpoole dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Stackpoole drives a stinging left hook into his opponents ribs.

Stackpoole closes the distance and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Syme's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.

Stackpoole drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Syme tries to land a cross, but Stackpoole blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Stackpoole advances into close range.  Stackpoole sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Stackpoole closes the distance and lands a right hook.  
Stackpoole gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to Syme's ribcage.  
Syme steps to the outside.  Stackpoole is on target with a cross.  
Stackpoole gets on the inside and hits home with a right uppercut.  Stackpoole clinches his opponent.  Stackpoole leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Stackpoole lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Stackpoole advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Stackpoole closes the distance.  Stackpoole sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Stackpoole hits home with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Syme's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Stackpoole gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Stackpoole gets on the inside.  Syme tries to land a left uppercut, but Stackpoole dodges the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Stackpoole advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Stackpoole sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Syme is on target with a jab.
