Hitoshi Kimura vs Hikaru Toda

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tokyo,  taking place on 03/01/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Hitoshi Kimura (15(4) - 2(1)) who hails from Kashiwa, Japan and Hikaru Toda(6 - 3(1) - 1) from Okazaki, Japan.  Kimura weighed in at 146 pounds And 11 ounces, while Toda weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Isamu Nonaka, and the three ringside judges are Kyo Arima, Takeo Kibe and Ichiro Tsukamoto.
