Taro Sugiyama vs Naoki Kuwahara

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Saitama promoted show at Isamu Arima Gym, Saitama,  taking place on 23/12/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Saitama Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Taro Sugiyama (14(6) - 1) who hails from Koshigaya, Japan and Naoki Kuwahara(13 - 1) from Saitama, Japan.  Both Sugiyama and Kuwahara weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ichiro Mizuno, and the three ringside judges are Ichiro Tsuchiya, Aki Iseri and Ichiro Miyazaki.  

Round 1:
