Henrik Hendrix vs Barry Lenney

Boxing Daily Report from the Glove Shack promoted show at Ariake Coliseum, Tokyo,  taking place on 16/01/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TBS, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Henrik Hendrix (11(5) - 0) who hails from Chemnitz, Germany and Barry Lenney(2 - 7) from Waitakere, New Zealand.  Hendrix weighed in at 160 pounds, while Lenney weighed in at 159 pounds and 2 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Satoshi Fuse, and the three ringside judges are Satoshi Fuse, Kyo Arima and Yuji Ohta.  

Round 1: 

Lenney advances into close range.  Hendrix is on target with a left hook.

Hendrix digs in a sharp right hook to Lenney's body.  Hendrix holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Hendrix pushes his forearm into Lenney's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hendrix dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Hendrix.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Hendrix lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hendrix digs in a right hook to Lenney's body.  
Hendrix lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Hendrix drives a right uppercut into Lenney's ribs.  
Hendrix hits home with a solid right hook.  
Hendrix pivots from in front of his opponent.  Lenney throws a left uppercut, but Hendrix clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Hendrix pushes his forearm into Lenney's face.  The referee warns Hendrix and breaks the clinch.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lenney's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Lenney's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Hendrix quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Hendrix advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Hendrix lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hendrix closes the distance and drives a firm left hook into Lenney's liver.  Hendrix clinches his opponent.  Hendrix pushes his forearm into Lenney's face.  The ref separates the two fighters and sends Lenney to the neutral corner.  He takes Hendrix's arm and signals to each judge that a point should be deducted!

Lenney gets on the inside and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Hendrix is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents ribs.  Hendrix ties up his opponent.  Hendrix tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Lenney behind the head. The referee warns Hendrix and breaks the clinch.
