Ioakim Shipulin vs Luka Smolnikov

Boxing Daily Report from the Mbalula Promotions promoted show at Yekaterinburg Golovkin, Yekaterinburg,  taking place on 01/12/2025:

Clearly Mbalula Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Russia-Sverdlovsk Oblast Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ioakim Shipulin (6 - 17 - 2) who hails from Yekaterinburg, Russia and Luka Smolnikov(6 - 8 - 2) from Nizhny Tagil, Russia.  Both Shipulin and Smolnikov weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dmitriy Volkonsky, and the three ringside judges are Valeri Slutzky, Lazar Darin and Dmitriy Volkonsky.

Smolnikov is looking to close the distance.  Smolnikov pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a right hook.
