Akira Tao vs Nori Sakuma

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Kanagawa promoted show at Jiro Seki Gym, Yokohama,  taking place on 01/01/2026:

Clearly AI Japan-Kanagawa have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Kanagawa Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Akira Tao (9 - 6 - 4) who hails from Sagamihara, Japan and Nori Sakuma(8 - 3 - 2) from Yokohama, Japan.  Tao weighed in at 147 pounds, while Sakuma weighed in at 146 pounds And 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Satoshi Miyasaki, and the three ringside judges are Akira Hayashi, Daichi Nakai and Mitsuru Horiuchi.
