Juan Montemayor vs Eduardo Fontanez

Boxing Daily Report from the Kajura Promotions promoted show at Maracaibo Mallen, Maracaibo,  taking place on 02/01/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Venezuela Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Meridiano TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Juan Montemayor (16 - 2) who hails from Ciudad Guayana, Venezuela and Eduardo Fontanez(19 - 3 - 2) from Maracaibo, Venezuela.  Both Montemayor and Fontanez weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Urvano Camargo, and the three ringside judges are Juan Matias, Esteban Marro and Jose Monzon.
