Bob Maddocks vs Duncan Mula

Boxing Daily Report from the Spinger Boxing Club promoted show at Houston Docter, Houston,  taking place on 02/01/2026:

Clearly Spinger Boxing Club have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Texas Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Bob Maddocks (8 - 8 - 1) who hails from Dallas, USA and Duncan Mula(4 - 16 - 1) from El Paso, USA.  Both Maddocks and Mula weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Arthur Kinna, and the three ringside judges are James Curto, Stuart Ferrera and Corey Barnes.  

Round 1: 

Mula walks Maddocks onto the ropes.  Mula is on target with a jab.  
Mula quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Maddocks walks Mula into the corner.  Maddocks hits home with a left uppercut.  
Mula switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Maddocks steps inside and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Maddocks lands a right hook.  
Mula is looking to keep his distance and connects with an overhand right.

Maddocks closes the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Maddocks ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Maddocks feints a jab, but Mula is not fooled and lands with a right uppercut.  
Maddocks gets on the inside.  Mula is on target with a left hook.  Maddocks clinches his opponent.  Maddocks is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Maddocks pushes his forearm into Mula's face.  The referee warns Maddocks and breaks the clinch.
