Boxing Daily Report from the AI Malaysia-Perak promoted show at Ipoh Yasin, Ipoh,  taking place on 04/01/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Asian Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV3, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rahul Purushothaman (13 - 5(1) - 1) who hails from Ipoh, Malaysia and Jose Riso(14 - 0 - 2) from San Pablo, Philippines.  Both Purushothaman and Riso weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sajid Mustafa, and the three ringside judges are Tariq Masih, Amer Firman and Ibrahim Baccus.
