Floyd Cassidy vs Chris Carrothers

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at UWF Arena, Las Vegas,  taking place on 27/12/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Floyd Cassidy (2 - 0) who hails from Boston, USA and Chris Carrothers(2 - 0) from Overland Park, USA.  Cassidy weighed in at 117 pounds and 10 ounces, while Carrothers weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ellis Slight, and the three ringside judges are Alec Rees, Edward Almodovar and Will Cerezo.  

Round 1: 

Cassidy lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Cassidy closes the distance.  Cassidy sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Carrothers has taken some damage there.  That has caused swelling  around the left eye.

Carrothers steps to the outside.  Cassidy lands a cross, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Cassidy sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Cassidy gets on the inside.  Cassidy pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Cassidy gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Carrothers is looking to keep his distance.  Cassidy hits home with a solid jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Carrothers's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Carrothers's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Carrothers's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
