Boxing Daily Report from the Quick Tan Promotions promoted show at Standard Bank Arena, Johannesburg,  taking place on 02/01/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Merk Buys (16(3) - 0 - 1) who hails from Mitchells Plain, South Africa and Agapetus Romo(7 - 6(1) - 1) from San Salvador, El Salvador.  Both Buys and Romo weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Roos Van der Linde, and the three ringside judges are Tlou Nqakula, Siphelele Nhlapo and John Nzambi.
