Lavaughn Kuntempa vs Ponce Rayo

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Kasarani indoor arena, Nairobi,  taking place on 17/01/2026:

Clearly Bos Firefighters have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the WRBA Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Lavaughn Kuntempa (16(2) - 4(3)) who hails from Kitwe, Zambia and Ponce Rayo(17 - 5(5)) from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.  Kuntempa weighed in at 174 pounds And 14 ounces, while Rayo weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Konchellah, and the three ringside judges are Nathan Andersson, Rex Odhieng and Scott Merande.
