Gig Ribas vs Jerrold Jaimez

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Venezuela-Lara promoted show at Barquisimeto Montez, Barquisimeto,  taking place on 13/01/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South American Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Meridiano TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Gig Ribas (11(2) - 1 - 1) who hails from Ciudad del Este, Paraguay and Jerrold Jaimez(17 - 2(2) - 1) from Barquisimeto, Venezuela.  Both Ribas and Jaimez weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Diego Penaloza, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Alviar, Vicente Rengel and Rodrigo Gomez.
