Elmar Aliyev vs Nihad Gadzhiev

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Tajikistan-Sughd promoted show at Istaravshan Sesay, Istaravshan,  taking place on 11/01/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Tajikistan-Sughd Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Elmar Aliyev (8 - 6 - 4) who hails from Istaravshan, Tajikistan and Nihad Gadzhiev(6 - 3(1) - 4) from Istaravshan, Tajikistan.  Both Aliyev and Gadzhiev weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Afanas Sarsenov, and the three ringside judges are Husein Aghamirzayev, Qasim Mamedkuliyev and Rashid Sami.  

Round 1: 

Aliyev feints a right, and then lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Gadzhiev advances into close range.  Gadzhiev sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Aliyev is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Gadzhiev sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Gadzhiev attempts to land a jab, but Aliyev slips the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Gadzhiev cuts off the ring, trapping Aliyev on the ropes.  Aliyev lands a solid cross.  
Aliyev tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a sharp overhand left.
