Haider Hassan vs Rashid Alawa

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Egypt-Cairo promoted show at Cairo Aziz, Cairo,  taking place on 14/01/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Northern African Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Modern Sport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Haider Hassan (13 - 5(1) - 2) who hails from Cairo, Egypt and Rashid Alawa(8 - 4(1)) from Cairo, Egypt.  Both Hassan and Alawa weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sajid Hammad, and the three ringside judges are Adnan Noorani, Waqar Marzouk and Danyaal Meshaal.
