Salim Mwachofi vs Bart Kahata

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Mbaraki Sports Club, Mombasa,  taking place on 10/01/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Eastern African Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WWX Sport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Salim Mwachofi (9 - 2) who hails from Kisumu, Kenya and Bart Kahata(11 - 2) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Mwachofi weighed in at 118 pounds, while Kahata weighed in at 117 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is James Baldacchino, and the three ringside judges are Robert Perlo, Paul Kithuka and Connor Kamau.
