Lordson Orakwue vs Royal Kaptoum

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Cameroon-Nord promoted show at Garoua Conference Centre, Garoua,  taking place on 14/01/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Western African Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CRTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Lordson Orakwue (15(12) - 1(1)) who hails from Warri, Nigeria and Royal Kaptoum(11 - 4) from Garoua, Cameroon.  Orakwue weighed in at 167 pounds and 15 ounces, while Kaptoum weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Montrose Bourdelle, and the three ringside judges are Michel Ekwe, Labaron Ulliel and Bruce Kamgaing.
