Rex Dunn vs Matt Connolly

Boxing Daily Report from the Phala Promotions promoted show at Adelaide Nessmith, Adelaide,  taking place on 14/01/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-South Australia Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rex Dunn (7 - 4 - 3) who hails from Adelaide, Australia and Matt Connolly(12 - 1) from Adelaide, Australia.  Dunn weighed in at 126 pounds, while Connolly weighed in at 125 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Antwan Whitehead, and the three ringside judges are Will Hammel, Steven Kavanah and Kian Pugh.  

Round 1: 

Dunn tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a cross.
