Nils Blaauw vs Mick Majoro

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Soweto Hall, Soweto,  taking place on 31/12/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Nils Blaauw (2 - 0) who hails from Mamelodi, South Africa and Mick Majoro(5 - 5 - 1) from Soshanguve, South Africa.  Both Blaauw and Majoro weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David Pienaar, and the three ringside judges are Luvolwethu Motupa, Peter Mbalula and John Nzambi.  

Round 1: 

Blaauw is looking to close the distance.  Blaauw steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Majoro is whaling away with hooks, but Blaauw keeps his defence tight.

Majoro sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Majoro throws a right hook, but Blaauw holds on to his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Blaauw steps to the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Majoro pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a cross to his opponents body.  
Blaauw steps away from his opponent.  Majoro connects with an overhand left.  
Blaauw throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.
