Marco Cato vs Leonardo Tamez

Boxing Daily Report from the AI El Salvador-San Salvador promoted show at San Salvador Loy, San Salvador,  taking place on 18/12/2025:

Clearly AI El Salvador-San Salvador have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the El Salvador-San Salvador Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Marco Cato (7 - 1) who hails from Mejicanos, El Salvador and Leonardo Tamez(8 - 6) from San Salvador, El Salvador.  Cato weighed in at 135 pounds, while Tamez weighed in at 134 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Roman Baldonado, and the three ringside judges are Jeraldo Aja, Rodrigo Calle and Ramiro Salmeron.
