Denton Allen vs Matthew Morehead

Boxing Daily Report from the ABP Promotions promoted show at Magic City Casino, Miami,  taking place on 13/01/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Denton Allen (2 - 1) who hails from New Haven, USA and Matthew Morehead(0 - 0 - 1) from Naperville, USA.  Both Allen and Morehead weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fanuco Villarrubia, and the three ringside judges are Mark Briden, Ian Hossack and Rob Quigg.  

Round 1: 

Morehead sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Allen is on target with a firm right uppercut.  Allen clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Allen pushes his forearm into Morehead's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Allen to stop fouling.  
Morehead pivots to the left of his opponent.  Allen lands a solid left hook.  
Allen finds the target with a jab.  
Allen advances into close range.  Morehead throws a right hook, but Allen holds on to his opponent.  Allen is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Morehead throws a left uppercut, but Allen holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Allen throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Allen ties up his opponent.  Allen hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Allen to stop fouling.  
Morehead is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  
Allen connects with a right hook.  
Allen drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Allen is looking to close the distance.  Morehead throws a left hook, but Allen ties up his opponent.  Allen tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Morehead behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Allen.
