Boxing Daily Report from the AI Costa Rica-San Jose promoted show at Gimnasio Fight Club, San Jose,  taking place on 16/01/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Costa Rica Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Repretel Channel 11, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Quico Montesano (5 - 7 - 3) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Tajo Arbelaez(5 - 0 - 1) from San Jose, Costa Rica.  Montesano weighed in at 167 pounds And 5 ounces, while Arbelaez weighed in at 167 pounds And 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Sierra Abela, and the three ringside judges are Rodrigo Fanta, Alejandro Callejas and Baltasar Cecilio.
