Mashawn Assifuah vs Yasin Fareedi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ghana-Greater Accra promoted show at Frankie's Hotel, Accra,  taking place on 22/01/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Ghana Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on bTV Action, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mashawn Assifuah (12 - 4) who hails from Achiaman, Ghana and Yasin Fareedi(20 - 2) from Accra, Ghana.  Assifuah weighed in at 175 pounds, while Fareedi weighed in at 174 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Noel Koranteng, and the three ringside judges are Shevon Adusei, Leighton Kwei and John Adu.
