Umair Shakoor vs Syed Abad

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Iran-Fars promoted show at Shiraz Yu, Shiraz,  taking place on 23/01/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Iran Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on IRIB, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Umair Shakoor (14 - 8) who hails from Shiraz, Iran and Syed Abad(17 - 5(1)) from Tehran, Iran.  Shakoor weighed in at 250 pounds and 8 ounces, while Abad weighed in at 246 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Amer Shahidi, and the three ringside judges are Khalid Yusuf, Vijay Maurya and Waqar Akhtar.
