Nori Yamazaki vs Eiji Kuse

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Tokyo promoted show at Tokyo Fujita, Tokyo,  taking place on 23/01/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Nori Yamazaki (5 - 8 - 2) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Eiji Kuse(5 - 6 - 4) from Fukuoka, Japan.  Both Yamazaki and Kuse weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nori Saito, and the three ringside judges are Keiichi Iida, Yuji Tsutsumi and Akira Kishimoto.

Yamazaki steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a jab, but Kuse blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.
