Robert Lagat vs Shaun Mwachofi

Boxing Daily Report from the Ndovi Promotions promoted show at Nairobi Ammar, Nairobi,  taking place on 24/01/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Nairobi Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Robert Lagat (11 - 9 - 1) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Shaun Mwachofi(11 - 0 - 3) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Lagat weighed in at 129 pounds and 8 ounces, while Mwachofi weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Richie Bitok, and the three ringside judges are Duncan Wakihuri, Noah Odoyo and Billy Tumbo.
