Laken Apaloo vs Kabonesa Kaigwa

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Nairobi promoted show at Umoja Basketball Court, Nairobi,  taking place on 25/01/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Laken Apaloo (10 - 4) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Kabonesa Kaigwa(10 - 6 - 2) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Both Apaloo and Kaigwa weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Scott Merande, and the three ringside judges are Elliot Lumumba, Kashif Haque and Richie Bitok.
