Yasin Matar vs Ali Farooq

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Malaysia-Federal Territory promoted show at Yasin Ally Gym, Kuala Lumpur,  taking place on 26/01/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Malaysia-Federal Territory Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Yasin Matar (14 - 4 - 3) who hails from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Ali Farooq(10 - 7) from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  Both Matar and Farooq weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Obaid Ishmael, and the three ringside judges are Waqar Sabir, Rehan Azam and Waqar Sabir.
