Joaquin Betances vs Dimos Avendano

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Baja California promoted show at Raisian Gym, Mexicali,  taking place on 26/01/2026:

Clearly AI Mexico-Baja California have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Baja California Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joaquin Betances (7 - 10 - 3) who hails from Tijuana, Mexico and Dimos Avendano(11 - 7 - 1) from Ensenada, Mexico.  Betances weighed in at 111 pounds and 10 ounces, while Avendano weighed in at 111 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Joaquin Macario, and the three ringside judges are Jeraldo Toribio, Santiago Ponce and Joaquin Chavarin.  

Round 1:
